Had been meaning to go see Lao Jiang in Minhang district since bought my bike(1 yr and half?). Out of some reason, the trip got delayed till yesterday…for a very good reason of course: the Mid-autumn festival.
The 11th Mid-Autumn Festival, without family.That’s right.
As a directional moron, checking the route as detailed as possible is a must. Here’s how I got there:
中环路(West Huaxia Road)-》上浦西路(ShangPu Road)-》沿浦路(渡口过江,1.3元)Yanpu Road(ferry, ticket:1.3RMB)-》龙吴路往南(LongWu Road, southward)-》银都路(Yindu Road)-》莲花南路(LianHua Road)-》颛兴东路,据颛桥地铁不远处路段在施工(East Zhuanxing Road, some part of the road is under construction, a bit jolting, not wise to choose this road)-》颛兴路(ZhuanXing Road)
Basically, it went well, reached my friend’s at around 4 pm:
The most wonderful thing would be that the dinner was already ready:
After the dinner, we went for the movie“ 大武生”. Awesome movie, awesome~
And the next day, i.e today, my friend cooked again. Little celebration with grape wine:
Time elapsed. Tried a new route back:
中春路-》金都路-》龙吴路/罗秀路渡口过江-》沿浦路-》沿江路(big mistake, big)-》中环路
The road sign to the ferry from Minhang to Pudong is clear; whereas from Minhang to Pudong, way too obscure. You need to be veli careful.Asking the local would be advisable, otherwise you would probably miss it, as it’s located in a lesser-known path. Just remember, when you reach No.609沿浦路, turn right.
The most tragic thing would be that I went for this god-damn road (沿江路) after exiting the ferry. It looks good in the map!All of a sudden, a lot of what-ifs were bottled up in my check like kidneystones ..what if the tyre got punctured, what if I got lost, what if…?
